Hey everyone, are you ready for a new week?

It’s all a bit weird and difficult at the moment isn’t it? But I’m making a concerted effort to keep things ‘normal’ and crack on with my jobs. For me, that means plugging away on Sleuthing Club book 2 while book 1 is with the copyeditor.

I’ve got a title for book 2 (I can’t share it yet though! Sorry!) and I’ll be putting that out there as soon as I can. While Death Remembered is having the final touches put to it with the copyeditor, I’m working on my first self-edit of book 2! Did you see the cover reveal on Friday? What did you think?

Sometimes I love editing, other times I hate it! I had to write book 2 in fits and starts around my other job of writing contemporary romance and it was quite confusing picking it up and putting it down! I kept forgetting where I’d put the clues and had to go back over stuff quite a lot, but we got there in the end.

The next steps are to get the cover deigned for book 2 which I’ll be commissioning soon and then getting it to my editor! That’s all quite far away at the moment though. I don’t know if you’re the same, but I am finding it quite hard to concentrate at the moment, so for this week I’m just going to take it one chapter at a time, adding in all those wonderful historical details I love so much!

What are your goals for this week? Let me know and I’ll cheer you on!
